Safety & Environment

SAFETY FIRST

Because every flight
begins and ends with responsibility

Safety comes first, not just for ourselves, but of course also for our customers. That guarantee is essential. For this reason, we hold all the necessary certifications. Here are a few examples:

  • We have a permanent TUG exemption, allowing us to land in every province outside designated airfields.
  • We possess all conceivable flight licenses: AOC (Air Operator Certificate) for passenger transportation, ATO (Approved Training Organization) for pilot training, SPO (Special Operations) for specialized missions, CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization) for monitoring the airworthiness of all aircraft used by HeliAir.

Additionally, we continuously invest in training, maintenance, and safety protocols to ensure the highest standards are maintained at all times.

PIONEERING A BETTER FUTURE TOGETHER

Social return, Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Employees: We aim to harness the natural enthusiasm and dedication of every employee by creating an optimal work environment and promoting their well-being.

Customer: Customer-centricity is at the core of our business. We continuously strive to enhance customer satisfaction through the quality of our services, initiatives aimed at improving customer experience, and the development of solutions that seamlessly align with our customers’ expectations. We are committed to delivering added value to our customers.

Safety: Creating a work environment that guarantees the well-being of our employees is of utmost importance to us. Employee safety is our top priority, which drives the adaptation of tools and procedures and the implementation of specific training programs. Special safety training contributes to the safety culture within HeliAir.

Social return on Investment (SROI): SROI is part of our corporate social responsibility. We collaborate with the Hoogvliegers Foundation and the Skykids Foundation, focusing on vulnerable children and young people facing conditions that significantly impact their quality of life.

Sociaal Charter: HeliAir acknowledges its responsibility and is aware of the need to meet contemporary needs in a socially, economically, and ecologically balanced manner, with due consideration for the protection of the living and working conditions of future generations. We will act with respect for cultural, ethical, social, political, and legal diversity.

Sustainability: HeliAir is an innovative company, mindful of both customer needs and the environment. During the recent expansion of our hangar/office space in 2021, the new construction was fully equipped with solar panels, making the Harskamp location energy-neutral.

We are currently installing a new fuel facility to enable our turbine helicopters to operate on biofuel, gradually making our operations more CO2-neutral.

The HeliAir location – JetCenter – at Maastricht Airport received an energy label A in March 2024 after significant sustainability investments.
